Meet the Team

Our small team combines project planning, field coordination and hands-on commercial kitchen experience. We keep communication direct so restaurant owners know who is handling the work and what is happening next.

The People You Will Work With

Nathan Mercer

Owner and Project Lead

Nathan grew up near Eugene and began his working life helping with his family's property-maintenance jobs before moving into commercial construction. He founded Commercial Kitchen Hood Replacement Eugene after seeing how often restaurant owners needed a clearer way to coordinate hood replacement during remodels. Away from work, he enjoys early-morning fishing trips on Oregon lakes and restoring an older utility trailer he inherited from his father.

Marissa Cole

Project Coordinator

Marissa keeps project details, scheduling conversations and customer communication organized from the first inquiry onward. She previously worked in operations for a Eugene-area food distributor, which gave her a practical understanding of how much restaurant schedules depend on dependable coordination. On weekends, she is usually tending a backyard vegetable garden or exploring local walking trails with her rescue dog.

Evan Rios

Field Lead

Evan oversees field preparation and installation details, with a particular eye for access, existing conditions and the sequence of work around active commercial kitchens. He has spent much of his career on renovation projects in western Oregon and likes solving the awkward space problems that older buildings tend to create. Outside work, he coaches a youth soccer team and is steadily rebuilding a 1980s pickup in his garage.

How We Work Together

We start by listening to what the restaurant owner is trying to accomplish, then look at the existing hood, equipment and physical kitchen conditions. Nathan focuses on overall project direction, Marissa keeps communication and scheduling organized, and Evan brings field conditions back into the planning process so decisions are grounded in what can actually be done at the site.

We also believe it is useful to say early when another part of a kitchen project may affect the hood work. Clear coordination at the beginning is usually easier than solving conflicts after equipment has arrived or construction has already closed up the available space.
